Current Law

 

The algebraic sum of all currents entering a node is zero.

 

N is the number of branches connected to the node

 

You may need to consider the currents entering the node to be positive and those leaving the node to be negative (or vice versa)

 

You may also consider that the sum of currents entering the node is equal to the sum of currents leaving the node

 

 

 

Voltage Law

The algebraic sum of all voltage drops around a closed path (or loop) is zero

 

Start from any node in the loop, go around the loop CW (or CCW)

 

Use the sign of the terminal that you first encounter
